Friends | Fresh | Fall into silence | Caving and abseiling in WaitomoI went on a Haggas Honking Holes tour with Waitomo Adventures. Three abseils, waterfalls, rock climbing, grovelling, glow worms, odd beautiful formations. We experienced it all.
It was my first time in the caves and it was an enlightening adventure. I was amazed how diverse the passage was. It was concealed in some places and it wasn't obvious which way to go, we had a vertical wall to climb that looked inaccessible but in actual fact it wasn't hard to get over. Caves can teach a good lesson that there is always a way you just have to look for it and find it, and that you can overcome an intimidating obstacle you should just give it a try. |

I'm in the left row, second from top. :)
It wasn't really scary but very exciting! :)
The water was very warm - 20 degrees Celsius - heated by thermal springs.
