«On December 2nd and 3rd, 1989, only a couple of weeks after the fall of the Berlin Wall, US President George Bush and Soviet President Michail Gorbatschow held a summit aboard the T/S "Maxim Gorkiy", that was anchored off Malta. President Gorbatschow and his ministers also lived onboard the ship.»
