BP Surf Rescue
"BP's Surf Life Saving sponsorship has been in New Zealand for 33 years — making it this country's longest-running sponsorship.
The sponsorship was prompted by the 1968 Wahine disaster in Wellington. After the tragedy, BP's former subsidiary Europa Oil provided a replacement surf boat to the Worser Bay Surf Life Saving club."
